Unbelievably inconsiderate customer service. Bait and switch tactics. Rented me one car online and then told me it’s unavailable when l arrived. Made me pay an upgrade of $50 per day. Don’t deal with this company unless you want to feel like you have been taken advantage of.
For two days, I repeatedly contacted Hertz to provide an update. Unfortunately, my calls either went unanswered or I was placed on hold immediately. After holding for over an hour without assistance, I eventually had to end the call. I returned the rental vehicle to the repair shop at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Despite this, I was charged for three additional days—even though the vehicle had already been re-rented.
Front desk staff were very accommodating, especially the one that took care of my booking (Jamir Ervin), I came in close to closing time however he stayed extra to help make sure my rental situation was squared away before leaving, would highly recommend their services, just don’t go through Priceline, speak to store directly.
Manager Lexus did not do her job to make sure she provided a car that I reserved prior to me communicating to the Newark location!! Even after speaking to her on the phone she tried to rent me a vehicle that was over $100 more than the one I reserved!! Do not waste your time doing business with Hertz!! Go to Enterprise
One of the worst locations ever. Even if you book a mid size vehicle, they dont have that or even a full size. They force you to rent their SUVs. After you wait for an hour or so, the mid size vehicles magically appear out of nowhere even though there were no returns. ( i was sitting right there in their waiting area looking for customers for any returns). The customer service is also really bad. They talk to you as if you owe them something. And also, this wasn't the only time they've done that.
