This was by far the worst rental car experience I’ve ever had. A Black male employee at the Hertz Norwalk location was extremely unprofessional, dismissive, and made me feel that I was treated differently because of my race. His behavior was unacceptable for any customer service role, especially at a company like Hertz. This employee openly ignored me and disrespected me, and it strongly felt like discrimination. This Hertz has not responded to multiple attempts from my insurance company regarding reimbursement for the money I paid toward car repair costs. This stems from an accident where one of their employees was at fault for hitting my vehicle. Their continued lack of response is delaying the resolution of my claim and has made the process unnecessarily frustrating.
terrible customer service
Updating my review to positive because they finally accept tap to pay option. The ONLY issue is they smash you for a larger deposit of using a debt card, instead of a CC. Makes no sense, because I can have LESS money on my CC, and if they had to charge it for something , it would not go through, and my card issuer would also decline it immediately. A debit card, your bank will overdraft you. Not unless your crafty enough to use a bank/debit card the rejects ALL charges over your balance no matter what, and not play silly OD ... read more
