The WORST experience I have ever had. We booked an underage car (20-24) with NO issues pre arrival. When we arrived the company claimed they could not rent it to us as we were under 21 DESPITE allowing us to book ahead of time. They offered no solutions other than to figure something out ourselves. The customer service representative acted bored and completely apathetic. Hertz corporate was unable to do anything. DO NOT use this company unless you want it to derail your entire trip.
Absolutely terrible experience. Wait times were extremely long—even for Presidential Circle members. Rates were nearly double other companies, and once the rental period started, I couldn’t cancel. Worst of all, they forced me to buy their overpriced insurance, refusing to accept my credit card coverage—something I’ve never experienced elsewhere. Avoid Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty at ANC; they’re all run by the same subcontractor.
