Terrible experience, waited an hour to get to speak to someone for a reserved rental, when the car was brought back we were told everything was good and an hour later got a call about a smoking fee. Not a person in my family smokes and no matter didn’t receive any resolution or any real customer service.

I booked a reservation for this new location and a family emergency led me to modify my reservation as instructed on their website about 5 days before the trip. When I arrived, the manager Humberto was rude, not at all helpful ( no troubleshooting), and implied that I'm a liar because "his system doesn't make mistakes." Yes, he literally said that. I canceled my reservation and I will not be using Hertz. I called customer service, although much more polite, not helpful at all. Now I've wasted extra money taking an uber there... read more

I had a very disappointing experience with Hertz. After returning the car on time and in good condition, I was surprised to find a smoking fee charged to me, even though I don’t smoke and never have. When I asked about this fee, the staff was unhelpful and rude. They didn’t listen to my explanation and acted like I was lying. It felt unfair and frustrating.
