My son's car broke down and he needed to rent a vehicle while trying to figure out what was wrong with his car. Julie was amazing! She was training at the time and so patient with him. This was his first time renting a car so he had a lot of questions. Also, he had to extend the rental and he was given the same price (thank you AAA!) each time. Beware of using Hertz/Dollar RAC on Poway! Reserved a "Manager's Special" vehicle on carrentals.com for 11 AM pickup last Friday. When I got there: "Sorry, we don't have any vehicles available. Should have them from the airport at 1 PM". Called to check at 1 PM: "Sorry, we won't have any vehicles until 3 PM". Finally picked up the rental at 3PM - ran into rush hour traffic north of San Diego and in LA, resulting in getting to our SF Bay Area hotel after 1AM :-( Filled the car with gas yesterday and returned it. The staff said the car I booked online was no longer available and gave me two options: cancel or choose another one. I had no choice but to choose the other one. The other one turned out to be extremely dirty and unacceptable. I had to pay more to upgrade to a more expensive car. I felt ripped off.
I usually rent from the Mira Mesa location where Nick is the manager working along side Alex. They know me by name and always provide the best customer service! Today, I ended up renting at the Poway location. Turned out that Nick (Manager) was working today! YAY! The other employee (also named Nick LOL) helped me and was very friendly and helpful! I HIGHLY recommend either the Mira Mesa or Poway locations when you need to rent a car!
I rented a car for business trip, they provided a nice car and very good price. They are super nice people, Maria and Allen are friendly. I truly recommend this facility if anyone need a to rent a car.
