Good luck getting someone to answer the phone after ten minutes of dealing with a weird AI asking you a million questions. You get transferred to a call center, not even this location. If they don't take time to even want to talk to you, do you think they're going to care about your rental?

I'm a traveling nurse and I've needed to use a rental car for over a month! The team at Marvin K. Brown location has been super patient and helpful throughout the entire time. Always willing to make accommodations where they can, even at the last minute, which I genuinely appreciate. Best San Diego Hertz Location I've experienced throughout my stay, for sure. And they have a decent selection of cars :)

Horrible customer service. They charge you way more than what the booking says. I won’t be coming here again.

I ubered to this location after booking and receiving confirmation that a car would be ready a great price (worth the uber rather than pick up locally). Upon arrival, the first attendant started to stall and asked me to wait 15-20 minutes until he had an update. At least the person next to him had the decency to tell me right then that they did not expect to have any cars for at least 4 hours.

Vehicle I had booked was not available when I arrived: I was told to come back in 45min when there would be another vehicle in a different class that would be dropped off that I would be rented. That car smelled of cigarette smoke and had burn marks on the seats, and I was told there was no other vehicle available without paying for a larger size vehicle and was charged an additional %30 to get a different car for the weekend as I didn't have time to make other arrangements.
