The doctor was not helpful. When I called to discuss this the receptionist said, "well, that's what he gets for going to school for 12 years". It was a very rude and she did not care to help. I will not be returning or recommending this doctor.
I almost hesitate to share how really good Dr. Herson is for fear that he'll have more new patients who I have to wait for him to treat when I am there. The wait in the exam room often seems long, but I know it is because he is taking the same time and care to explain and talk with his other patients as he does with me. Top notch doctor with a superior staff of nurses and staff. Even after moving to a new neighborhood, I willingly take two busses to see him, rather than find a new PCP.
Dr. Herson has been our family doctor for 25 plus years. I've tried to go to other doctors when I've moved and just couldn't do the drive. I could never find another doctor who cared as much about their patients as Dr. Herson does. All my children love and trust him as much as I do.
Dr. Herson is the primary physician for not only myself but my entire family. Both himself and the staff care so much for their patients. He has been treating me personally for almost 30 years. He is kind, thorough, and will stick with you throw thick and thin. I have struggled with bladder pain and recurring UTI's for years. His office was my only constant to make sure i got to the route of my problem and found specialists that could ultimately help me.
He is a great doctor. He took the time to explain everything and go over all the details with me. He pulled a chair and sat next to me while we were talking. He did a very thorough exam for my first visit. I'm very sad that my insurance plan has switched and I'm not able to see him any more.
We have been treated by Dr Herson for over 20 years . He is by far the most thorough physician in his field that I have seen or heard of . Great staff too !
