Our RyGuy recently had a pretty scary health situation that started with significant inflammation and swelling on the left side of his face and jaw, which eventually migrated down into his throat area. We believe it may have been caused by an altercation with a cat we previously had. Since our regular vet was closed, we took him to HAEC to be evaluated. I had never been here before, but when my cat passed at home in the early hours of a Sunday morning, and my regular vet wasn't going to be open again until Monday, I brought him here. Everyone was so sweet and caring towards us. They brought us right to a room that had its own exit door out the front. They do not charge an arm and a leg for that type of visit, and offer you paw and nose prints no extra charge. My special thing with my little guy was "one more kiss". they charged over $5000 and didn't even find the core issue with my cat not a great place if you have a Vet you trust go to them not here.
We had an awful thing happen just recently. We had to let our cat go and we were here when we did. I can’t give enough thanks to the staff. They were kind and empathetic. I didn’t get the receptionists name, but she asked me if I needed a hug and I did. The tech who brought in Splinter’s keepsakes had tears in her eyes and kind words. On August 31st I made an appointment with Nuka's regular vet for Tuesday Sept 1st, because Nuka was showing signs of dehydration and was refusing to eat, but was wanting constant water. As the day progressed he declined and I didn't feel he could wait till the next day so I took him into HAEC to be seen. They got him checked in and seen right away, where they did supportive care. They wanted to keep him for 24-36 hours but I just didn't have the amount at that time so they was able to lower the time to 12 hours, and then I w... read more
