I grew up in an abusive household with emotionally bankrupt parents. Of course I'd be depressed as a teenager. Instead he said I was manipulative. Now I have PTSD from my childhood. It's depressing that even trained and educated people in the industry blame their own patients for situations that are beyond their control.
I was completely misdiagnosed by him. He relied very heavily on ink blot tests and failed to consider basic criteria for diagnosis listed in the DSM. Would strongly advise against seeing him.
