Another fabulous date night at the bar at Heron! My boyfriend and I are both in hospitality and it’s rare we get a night off together to enjoy a real dinner date, but when we do, Heron is on the short list because we know the food and service will be fabulous and worth it. I love that I can turn my brain off and let the lovely bartender Audrey make my decisions about food and drinks for me, and it’s somehow always exactly what I want. 12/10 stars, can’t wait for next time!
Honestly, this place might be the most undervalued restaurant in all of Shreveport. Others get more press, others have more storried histories and are better known. However, this one, time and time again, always seems to get it just about perfect! Beautiful decor, excellent service and spectacular food. Standout dishes were the Shrimp Creole Gnocchi and Crème Brûlée. Can’t wait to go back!
Heron is fantastic, I had been wanting oysters all week. Seafood Tower was so good even the half is enough for 4 people. Oysters clean and fresh, Ahi Tuna maybe the best in the city. For Dinner Stuffed Soft Shell Crab, Steak and Frites, Carrots and Gnocchi. Atmosphere was great for a date night, live piano music. We will return.
