I just left Heroes’ Mile about 2 weeks ago. When I first arrived, I had no idea what to expect. I was a total wreck and knew I needed help. It didn’t take long for me to get comfortable within the facility. It has a very homely sense to it. It’s not your polished tile, institutional environment at all. Very welcoming. I have been to Heroes Mile twice. I absolutely love that place. The staff there is amazing. They truly care about you. They detoxed me safely. I was very comfortable the entire time I was there.
The only thing that’s disappointing me, is their phone will ring then disconnect. I wanted to talk to my father who admitted himself a while ago and I haven’t heard from him at ALL.
Caught myself slipping into alcoholism and checked myself in for a week detox.everything was great ! Russ on the phone helped me get registered, when I arrived I was pretty sick and the director Jose met me outside and helped calm my nerves and get me situated with the intake process. The medical staff did a wonderful job with proper medication I needed to detox safely, I had unsuccessfully tried to detox myself at home and was really sick.
