My little dog miniPearl was diagnosed by the emergency clinic of Mishawaka with kidney failure. It wasn't the best experience. I needed to have some follow up questions answered. But emergency clinic wasn't there for me afterward. So visited the Hero Clinic. I was not warmly greeted by heavy set woman at counter, but I let it slide. Everyone else was nice to us. This is a very good place to take pets. My experiences have always been great. Wait times can be long. Pricing is a lot less than other vets. Highly recommend.
If your pet had a dental here, I'd have another vet look to make sure it was done right. They did a horrible job on my rescue dog. They pulled 2 teeth, noted no deep pockets, left the rest, and recommended dental care to the rescue. I adopted him 2 days later. 3 months later, I took him to my vet. My vet took out 22 teeth. He had major bone loss, deep pockets, and was chattering in pain. I contacted Hero and they told me that dental disease can progress very quickly and they tried to save as many teeth as possible. Staff is friendly, prices are cheap, and they might be alright if all you’re looking for is a checkup, but I truly wouldn’t recommend this place if you think there’s something genuinely wrong with your pet. We took our kitten twice and both times the vet barely glanced over him, ran zero tests, then proceeded to prescribe antibiotics. Despite asking questions and trying to obtain some information on what we should do, we received minimal advice. We saw the actual vet for about 30 seconds after waiting for an hour or so.
