We’ve stayed at the river bluff cottages 12-15 times over the years and the staff, service & welcome tray are always top notch! We go every January for my wife’s bday and we love the view, hot tub and our routine in town hitting all our favorite spots. Took 1 star away from the rooms as while they are very nice in general, they have been there for around 20 years … and the last few we have stayed in had “rough” repairs completed on the walls and ceiling and it was really obvious patch work. Had some difficulty finding the cottage from the main office. Room was very nice and welcoming. Loved the hot tub and fresh baked cookies. It was a great stay!
This place is great! Very relaxing vibe and the staff are amazing! Went in December after Christmas, since it was unusually warm it was nice but can’t wait to go back when the weather warms up and the sun is shining out!!
We stayed in the Port room to celebrate a birthday. It was spacious and inviting. The views, the staff, and the amenities were excellent. Our only negative experience was with the temperature regulation in the room. The first night we couldn’t get the temperature below 76 degrees. This was very stuffy. We had to periodically open the balcony door during the night to help cool the room. We did contact the staff that evening and they are going to have maintenance check on the issue Monday. We had a lovely one-night stay at one of the Hermann Hill cottages this past weekend. The location and view is absolutely gorgeous, and on a clear night you can see the stars on the drive in. The Innkeepers and housekeeping staff are very welcoming and, even though we were arriving later at night, there were so many little details and amenities that made our anniversary getaway extra special. We are looking forward to coming back during the warmer months next year to explore the town and trails some more!!
