PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING! They need to take all their doctor and nurses liscenses away and shut the hospital down for good!. Went there a year ago with a broken tibula (ankle/leg). They told me I could walk on it, gave me the wrong sized boot for the type of injury it was, didn't show me how to work the boot. Didn't give me crouches until i asked for them so i could try and get out to my ride by myself (nobody working there helped me to get outside and into my ride). They even told me I could go to work. WORST HOSPITAL ER....You walk in. Sign in with machine. Not an actual person. You sit there in excruciating pain. And no one can be bothered to help you. All your told is It's a busy day. They take people who are sitting there playing on their phones versus someone who is literally on the ground because they are in so much pain. I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. We ended up leaving, going to Brentwood Neighborhood Hospital. and in the time they we were ignored at HVK, we already were seen, triaged, got IV and assessed by... read more

There is a reason this facility (emergency room) has such poor ratings. The treatment my family and I received today was HORRENDOUS. We came in due to a psychiatric emergency which if anyone is familiar can be very traumatic. The charge nurse on duty was the furthest thing from trauma informed. I do not feel comfortable going into further detail but I will be contacting patient relations and continuing to follow up as her behavior cannot be condone in this setting. I’m not sure about these previous reviews, and sympathize with them and their experience. I have been here quite a few times, and each time they are attentive, and kind. There have been times that wait was kind of long, but staff has always been friendly for the most part.
