The kindest and most thoughtful staff
The room was lovely. However the information folder in the room stated that breakfast could be ordered but this was not the case. When we enquired about this at reception we were just told that they didn’t do any meals. And there was nowhere close to get breakfast. This created a problem for us. We came by train from Sydney. We were able to walk to the motel from the train station. And walk to the bus stop to get to Grafton.
We had a fantastic stay at Heritage River Motor Inn. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, with a very comfortable bed and a clean, modern bathroom. Everything was exactly as you’d want for a relaxing stay. The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made us feel right at home. We spent one night in king room 14. Very comfy and well appointed. Efficient air con, fan, TV with full streaming access, good mattress and bedding, this place punches well above its weight for an overnight stop. Check in was easy and friendly, and the room was very quiet, away from the Bent St frontage. For breakfast, we got food from Heart and Soul in Prince's St (across the river) and that was superb. Top shelf Melb style offering, many GF options etc etc. Overall a really good way to break the journey.
