The proprietors of the motel are delightful. As was all the staff. I drove 9.5 hrs in an SUV like Mad Max to get there and basically just wanted to chill out and experience the top end because I’d always wanted to go there and I’m getting old. I was surprised how hot Weipa is in August but that’s my fault. I basically walked around and got a good Winter sun tan and then enjoyed the quietness and remoteness of Weipa. AC was powerfully.
Clean comfortable rooms. A good place for a meal and a drink at the restaurant bar, or by their pool. Good, friendly owners and staff
