Kids were rolling on the floor and covered in dust from the carpet. But otherwise room and bathroom were clean. Beds were so firm and uncomfortable, pillows were awful. Blinds didn’t fully cover windows so it was bright. Wood headboard sat away from wall and would smack against the wall throughout the night when we tossed and turned. Food was just ok. A wonderful stay - 10/10 This hidden gem absolutely surprised me in the best way. I was coming back late after a wedding, so I’d let them know I’d be checking in at a silly hour. The owner sent me a friendly text earlier in the night, not one of those cold auto-messages, but a proper thoughtful note. He’d even put me in a ground-floor room, close to reception so I wouldn’t disturb anyone when I rocked up after midnight. Heritage Motor Inn was perfect for what we needed - the whole motel is very tidy, rooms are clean, beds comfortable and parking is secure. It is on the edge of town as well so we liked the peace and felt this offered additional security. It also offers double parking for those parking with trailers. It suited us so well we booked it on the trip back also.
