This place is so outdated and run down it is pathetic. The washrooms were absolutely filthy. The Spitzee Post has been closed for 3 years due to ill repair. This was once a premier place in High River and has now slumped to a dive hotel that I could never recommend anyone to stay at. It is a shame!
We had 135 people attend a weekend rally June of 2026. Hotel was very helpful and no complaints about the rooms. They provided breakfast every morning, the staff was very accommodating and we had a fantastic wind up banquet. My thanks to the manager and staff who literally bent over backwards to accommodate us.
We didn’t have a very good experience here. We requested 2 rooms on the first floor since there is no elevator. Upon arrival, one room was on the 2nd floor so after being reassigned a third room (first room already occupied when we opened the door, second smelt like a smoke pit, third was on second floor and was not smoked in). No elevator and no Continental (at least I wasn't told of one) only reason it wasn't 5*
Room smelled like pool in a bad way. Window is looking out at the pool. Can't charge cell phone - no USB port at all. Uncomfortable beds and pillows (but that's just me). Pool is dirty - swimming plastic, flies and bugs, some hairball too. A few clean towels on the rack, a dirty one on the floor. The floor isn't clean either. Pool area looks sad. Hot tub is out of service. Decent breakfast: pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, and drinks. My family didn't enjoy the stay and will not go there again.
