Terrible care for my grandfather, the food food like prison food. The staff are looking like they don't know what they are doing. Please pick anywhere else besides here.

I have decided to update my review. My mother was treated poorly during covid, the facility did a terrible job, some Nurses was not wearing masks, I have video while speaking with mom on Skype asking for food while setting in the hall, the nurse's telling me she had eaten, not true, she died weighing 70 pounds. Nurses not putting her to bed until way after 12:00 while sick with covid, playing loud music in the hall, I have video of that as well. She was treated as a throw away. My mom has only been there a few days, but so far so good. She is still not keen on the food like the previous place she was at, but hopefully that will get better.

My mother is 97 and we recently moved her from a Heritage Hall facility in northern Virginia. Heritage Hall Blacksburg has been excellent. Mom's Care Management Team, her nurses, and Shelley in the business office are awesome. We couldn't be happier.

If I could give Heritage Hall zero stars, I would. Several years ago, my grandmother was placed in their "care" and they didn't check on her often. She needed to use the restroom after waiting for hours, tripped over an oxygen cord, and fell. My parents insisted that she be seen/xrayed/ CT scanned while Heritage Hall shrugged off the fall and her pain complaints. She was scanned and found to have bones broken in her back and cranium.
