Deerwood ended on a very frustrating note. Despite providing my non-renewal notice in March (both verbally in person and via email as instructed), the leasing office failed to process it correctly. I received no follow-up or move-out paperwork, even after directly asking what steps were required. Now that I’ve moved out, I’m being told I didn’t give proper notice and am being charged for an entire extra month of rent—even though I never signed a lease renewal.
