I paid 150$ for him to change my tires and tubes and fix my brakes. Was called 4 hours later (clearly rushed due to the fact he has no room) than when I picked up my bike the tire was hitting the frame which if he had tested it after he did the work he would have clearly felt heard and seen. And than the rear brake was not even hitting the tire when using the top brake. Herb is consistently pleasant, fair and honest.
Built a wheel for me and when i started riding, it was wobbling.
Just terrible I given a price of $40 on a bike repair to make adjustments to my brakes. In about an hour he called me to pick it up and told me the price was $75 so I asked him why, he said its $75 pay it or leave it. I’m not sure why he changed almost double the price for labor in which he never told me. Horrible attitude when confronting him, I understand he’s old and needs the money, but the guy had multiple stains on his shirt and pants so I felt bad for me and decided to pay him the full price to help him out.
