It’s CLOSED. The city found that the ground is contaminated. There are plans to renovate the dog park on the NYC Parks Dept website. It won’t be completed until 2027 or 2028.
I drove 30 minutes to this dog run because of the great reviews, hoping to find a nice place for my standard poodle to safely run and play. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. When we arrived, we couldn’t even find the dog run easily. We ended up walking around the surrounding park area, and what we noticed immediately was how messy it was—there was garbage everywhere.
