Dr. Insel takes great care in his (hands-on) exams to detect cardiac-related issues and explains his findings. He offers focused individual attention, makes recommendations and offers explanations that helped to guide me in such matters as diet and medication. He is patient and answers questions. To help a patient have a clearer and more concrete understanding of their condition, he illustrates using a model heart. Dr. Insel is a dedicated doctor and a kind human being. I highly recommend him.
With great pleasure I will say that for many years I have been a patient of Dr. Insel. From my arrival time till I depart, the staff and he are attentive, professional and cordial. I have a great respect for Dr. Insel on how he treats his patients. Trusting his medical expertise is a given, but beyond that he is just a wonderful human being. He has all the qualities that I would ever want from a doctor. He is patient, kind, empathetic, and humorous. He takes his time to explain to you in terms that you can understand. Excellent. I am a long time patient of Dr. Insel, in my opinion the best Cardiologist in NYC. Great diagnostic skills, always knows the right medication and dosage to administer. Dr. Insel also takes the time to explain everything to you and always returns my calls when i need to speak with him. He is also very kind and caring. I always feel very comfortable going to Dr. Insel his knowledge and skills are unsurpassed.
Dr. Insel is not only a great Cardiologist but also and internist. My husband and I are patient of Dr Insel for over twenty years. (Great doctor to see just to keep your hart healthy.) Dr. Insel is. in my opinion, the best doctor in NYC. He treats my entire family and we'd be lost without him. He is always available, always willing to help out, brilliant, kind, and funny. And he is wise enough to know when to treat and when to leave well enough alone. He's Marcus Welby in disguise! Plus his staff is fabulous. He makes visiting the doctor a fun experience instead of a trauma. We truly love him--he's everything one would want in a doctor..
