I found Henry's over 15 years ago, and did business with both his Dad, and Henry Jr over time. Henry Sr. was an old school, Triumph racer. I tried to roll my Harley in for some work one day, and he refused to allow it in his shop! LOL (Old racing grudge. Most bikers know about this well.) I love the shop. Shop smells of cat piss and the indigent population. Went in looking for cool vintage stuff for a shop I'm opening in another state and was met with nothing but ignorance and negativity. Lots of cool stuff rotting away as well as plenty of trash (and it is everywhere) with little organization or order. Age doesn't make anything valuable. Personability and knowledge is priceless. Henry helped me out on a multi-state ride. Wore out my tire and he mounted a new one in a hour while I watched. He's his own man and I'm glad to have met him. Thanks, Henry.
Growing up in Kingsport, after school my friends would often meet up at Wallace News to hang out. Of course, I often would walk up the street to see if Henry's had anything new. It was here that I learned to love old bikes and is what drove me to get a 1975 CB400F (bought elsewhere unfortunately) and restore it. Many a frustrated calls were made to Henry back then to get answers to a problem I couldn't figure out.
