I waited almost 4 months for today's appointment. I showed up early. I waited almost 40 minutes. I asked the front desk if they're backed up today and her response was "this is a normal day." I get up and leave, frustrated. As i'm at the elevator - THE DOCTOR WALKS INTO THE BUILDING FROM THE GARAGE WEARING HIS COAT! Wasn't even there. Insanely disrespectful. Never again at this garbage practice.
Destroyed my life. Went in for a simple hemorrhoid surgery and 2 week later blew out. He “corrected” his mistake but left me damaged with pudendal nerve damage. Stay away from him and his partner.
From his amazing bedside manner to his excellent surgical skills, we are very grateful we had Dr Schoonyoung as my husbands surgeon. Highly recommended 10/10 Thank you Dr Schoonyoung ! Also the staff at BMH is second to none. Everyone we have encountered has gone out of their way to be kind.
Dr. Schoonyoung operated on my daughter Cheri Wood in December 2024 and had to do a temporary ileostomy due to two fistulas in her colon along with severe inflammation. She went in on 3/31/2025 for the reverse surgery and it was a complete success! This doctor is amazing and I would recommend him to everyone. Thank you Dr. Schoonyoung for taking such special care of my daughter❣️
During a routine colonoscopy they discovered I had cancer and needed surgery. Dr Schoonyoung was recommended by my primary care doctor whom I completely trust. Along with this my sister and bro-in law are doctors and wanted to be with my on my consultation. This sometimes irritates docs but not Dr Shoonyoung. He was welcoming, kind and very informative.
