I was a heathy, active 65+ plus woman until what I thought was a pulled muscle that got increasingly worse. Tried PT, x rays, pilates, chiropractic care. Pain kept getting worse. Met. Birnbaum who referred me for an extensive MRI that showed both my hips were "shot." Not good news. But he helped me along the way. Back on track now.
No help with any medical problems I brought him. Quickly scans complex medical records instead of studying them for errors, oversights, or for his own understanding. Wont send reports to your other MDs longer than “discussed patient’s issues with him” but may speak to them on the phone, so theres no written record - including email. He wont use it. Sent me to a therapist without providing any guidance for him and recommended other specialists with very incomplete info abt why I should see them.
