I am extremely disappointed with the experience my husband had at this location. A medical assistant named Stephanie was not only unprofessional, but also disturbing in her behavior. She lacked compassion, displayed a cold and detached attitude, and acted in a way that felt completely inappropriate for a healthcare setting. So I'll start by saying the office staff are very polite and helpful, I have zero issue there, they were sweethearts. My main complaint is with Dr. Heitmann. I felt completely unheard in my visit with him. I understand hesitation to prescribe controlled substances, but I find it highly distasteful to tell your patient, who has been taking this medication, that they don't need it and to try something else. My medical experience and the care I received was wonderful. I loved the nurse and the PA. The PA took a lot of time with me and I felt heard and understood. The office staff is questionable. When I first made the appointment, I had trouble verbalizing my issues and the scheduler immediately stated they don't prescribe narcotics. It is also VERY hard to contact the office staff. They don't always answer the phone and there is not option to leave a voicemail. Sometimes my calls have been rejected multiple times.

Appointment was at 9:40am. They asked for my insurance card, it’s upload in my chart. I arrived at 9:35. At 10:20am I tell them to cancel the appointment, I’m leaving. One of the ladies finally say the PA is running behind. Another lady say she can go check to see when I’ll be seen. If a doctor is running behind it needs to be stated ahead of time. Communication goes along away. I hope they all have fun at the wedding they were talking about the whole time while I was waiting

Dr.Heitmann has been taking care of me since I was in my early teens. He is one of the finest physicians in the area and will break his back to make sure you receive the best care possible an within his means. No doctors office is perfect , and it is very difficult to please everyone... and these days with social media etc. people love to post negatives, I wanted to share a positive about this fine doctor and his staff.
