My son plays AAA hockey and had a broken tibia due to a spiral fracture. He broke it at a tournament at Notre Dame and required follow up after his surgery that was done immediately after the break. We had a great experience with Dr. Hennrikus and he came highly recommended by a fellow physician that had taken care of his own children. My son followed all instructions and I am happy to report he is back playing hockey and lacrosse like it never happened!
Don't take your child to Dr. Hennrikus. He lets his ego overrule his judgment. Yes, an "expert" can make snap judgments, but that should not be the default decision model. He was suggested as an "expert" when the local orthopedic doctor thought my daughter might have a problem. After giving her a less-than-cursory examination he pronounced her completely fit ("walk across the room....you're fine").
