I need to share my horrifying experience with Henderson Homes, and I urge you all to be aware of their complete disregard for tenants' rights. This is not a post I ever thought I would have to write, but it's important to shed light on their unprofessional and greedy practices. First and foremost, Henderson Homes does not care about maintaining their properties. I don't understand all of the complaints. My wife and I have lived here for 6 years and have found the atmosphere and neighbors to be exceptionally pleasant and the management responsive to all of our needs and suggestions. Also, the maintenance personnel have proven to be exceptionally knowledgeable and do very good work. The only problem I have is the latest rent increase, which I believe was about $100.00 to high.
Sold us an unlivable unit we had to move out of. (Unlivable by all of the standards outlined by the CHA) Had to sue to get our rent back. When we sued they threatened to evict my inlaws. Had to go to court twice because their employees didn't bother to show up. Then they told me for two weeks that my judgment check would be ready by a certain time and both times it wasn't. HORRIBLE!!!

Everyone's got their comments on point. Unfortuantly, I STILL live here :/ This place is so shitty. Not only do the units look like crap and close to breaking down. Maintence and the managers dont do ANYTHING about it. Kim is one of the managers and shes a complete pot head, and honestly, probably on some other drugs also because of how she acts/looks all the time. Moving here was a huge Mistake! It was 3 months of misery. The mobiles are really really old.... things constantly need fixing. My dishwasher and stove fan didn't work when I moved in. Took weeks to get fixed with multiple visits from maintenance not to mention I had to take time off work each time they came to "fix" it and nothing would be done.
