They had it closed all last summer to two lanes so they could add another dock that nobody knows how to use properly.
Needs better monitoring or some lines painted for lanes. People shouldn't block ramp area parking boats.
as of now, the launch ramp is almost unusable. lake Mead water levels are so low and getting lower that launching your boat at hemenway harbor is extremely risky. unless you have a monster truck or something with a LOT of ground clearance, your vehicle is at risk of being submerged and flooded. you literally have to put your vehicle IN the lake. not good. they either need to lower the launch ramp or shut it down.
Love this place. Can’t find the pics but we do kayaking training trips here for scouts for free. One of the best day was a company trip with my daughters scouting groups after staying close to the harbor at the campgrounds. Kids were chanting “kayaking” all day the next day since they wanted to go twice.
