History Established in 1987. The Helping Hand Missions was founded in 1987. A number of churches in Santa Rosa County had a burden to help men transition from prison to productive lives. The Faith Baptist Church in Milton, Florida, who had an active jail ministry at the time, took the lead in establishing this organization. Since its inception HHM has helped hundreds of men through its City of Refuge program, as well as families in need.
