My boat stays at Grandpappy Point in Texas and has parts their service department purchased from Helmuts (which have failed). A fellow boater (Rhonda Ferguson) keeps a boat at Buncombe Creek Marina and has parts purchased from Helmuts through Blackbeard Marine (which have failed). Helmut’s has a reputation for stocking a large inventory of parts, so I called hoping they hard a part that was NLA from the manufacturer. Nick answered the phone, was thorough, efficient, and professional, but said no, unfortunately , they had none left. A few minutes later, I got a call from Nick. He had located one for me from another retailer and provide the contact info. Absolutely amazing customer service! Who does that? I have a few contacts I usually call first, but Helmuts is my first call for anything from now on.
