This place is a train wreck. Went for dinner with a group on a Saturday night. First red flag was it was 1/2 empty, but still had to wait for our table. Ordered drinks at the bar, they were “out” of glassware so they served our old fashioned from plastic cups. Finally seated, waited approximately 25 mins for a round of beers/wine and a gin and tonic. I loved the vibe here overlooking the water, service was great and the food is wonderful!
The service was awful. We ordered drinks for the 5 of us before ordering lunch.Four were delivered and the 5th one took 50 minutes to arrive after asking several times where it was. We then ordered a second round and they were never delivered! Tammy the manager was the bright spot in the day. She was profoundly professional and adjusted our bill accordingly and treated us to a glass of bubbly.
Our first time eating here. Great view of the lake when eating on the deck. We ordered the burgers minus buns. Very good! Came with fries but they were a little hard. Decent, but not great. Our daughter got the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. Her sandwich was good but her fries were hard as well. The fries were shoestring so maybe they were a little old or overcooked. Not sure. The atmosphere is amazing! The food was delicious—but the highlight was our waitress. We regretfully didn’t remember her name, but she’s a healthcare worker/nurse working at Hello, Sailor as a second job. She offered such hospitality and service, the likes of which we hadn’t experienced in a very long time. We left feeling like we were the only ones in a crowded restaurant. Her customer service was much akin to what we are sure is her care for her patients.
