Great workout with a great view
The only bad thing is the parking, before you could park inside for the Hellman trail. Now you can’t park inside nor anywhere near the trail. I ended up parking an extra mile away. If you’re lucky there are about 4 parallel parking spots in front of the entrance with no signs and my friend parked there. Started on peppergrass trail and up to rattlesnake I believe. Mainly walking on incline. Lots of nice views
Steep incline! Not much shade, but a good hike nonetheless. There were some cool looking birds overhead, maybe falcons? 🪶 Overall, I would say this trail is moderate to difficult depending on your pace and personal levels.
