I am extremely disappointed and concerned with the lack of communication at Helia Healthcare of Energy. My grandmother suffered a fall that resulted in a broken hip, and the facility failed to notify me for several hours after the incident occurred. In fact i was never directly notified by anyone from the facility. I was notified by the nurse practitioner who oversees the facility. Disgusting and cruel treatment. My grandmother was sent here after a hospital visit for rehab. One week into being there she got a UTI so she was ordered an antibiotic to help with it. The nurse under her care did not give her the antibiotic because he could not check his notes from his boss. 1 day later she fell and they did not contact us to let us know. Day shift is great. wonderful workers. Night shift is awful. Don’t send family here if you want them to come home.
I have a family member with Altimerzers who was admitted less than a month ago. Do to a medical condition she was hospitalized and she has been very weak her doctor said she needed physical therapy.Because my husband and I work during the day she was went to Helia to recieve therapy. I recieved a voice message saying she was being discharged no metting no notice. Was told she signed her own discharge papers. How? They discharged me and I am non weight bearing...which means I can't walk.I don't understand, but believe I will find out. Oh, and by the way the food is horrible and some of the staff are rude.
