We bought a house here a year and a half ago. Today marks the 7th or 8th time we’ve had no water due to a pipe busting. I was told by the water department that they don’t have the money to replace pipes so they have to wait for them to bust. As much as we love this town, moving would be an absolute consideration just to ensure that the utilities we pay for actually work. We would be better drilling a well. Never in my life have I ever felt the need to leave a review for a utility company. My husband and I bought a house in Helena 3 months ago. In that time the water main in our area has broken twice leaving the house without water. I have never dealt with anything like this. Has there been no upgrades ever? Is the piping done so poorly that they can’t handle a small neighborhood? Where are the tax dollars going? The water department needs a complete overhaul as well as the towns water system.
