We own a house on Rodney Street. Our son goes to school at Helena High. Dodging ruts, pot holes and parking on a sheet of ice that even with studded snow tires can’t fully break on? Seem safe? Nothing compared to hitting a tire on one of these ruts and it completely taking the tire off the rim! Our elderly neighbor can’t even make it to her car because they have plowed a foot of snow to the curb that she can’t get over. Walk? Have a wheelchair? Good luck getting around! Worst snow removal I have ever seen.
This company is such a joke. They claim to clear the streets around town, but in all actuality, they only take care of the "priority routes" through town, and then they figure that their job is done. Meanwhile, the rest of the streets around town are packed down to solid ice because people have to get where they are going. Not all destinations are on the main "priority routes" that they plow. We had a major snowfall ten days ago and my street is STILL not plowed or sanded. I have left repeated messages and no one has called back. I called the police dept. yesterday and even they had no success getting an answer as to when my street would be plowed. My small car is stranded in "snow-where-land."
