I visited KUCB Sunday am, Aug 30 for a sliced finger. I cut it with a sharp knife while slicing lemons, leaving a flap of skin about 3/8 of an inch long and almost as wide. After arriving at KUCB, I was advised that I should either have it stitched or glued shut. I was given a cleaning solution to soak my finger in. The doctor came to look at it - by that time I had spent enough time gripping a clean piece of gauze over it tightly, that she decided that the glue should be sufficient. Sonogram technicians speak beyond their scope of their job...recommending medical care etc when they are not supposed to. Ask questions that do not concern the purpose of the visit and attempting to play doctor by diagnosing. VERY unprofessional!

My boyfriend went in because OTC meds weren't helping. His son had strep throat recently. The omitting nurse who took his vitals was extremely rude after he told her he didn't even feel well enough to drive there. Apparently she reprimanded him by accusing him of what could happen to her family by his driving there. After being placed in a wheel chair for hours, he complained of back pain and asked to lay down. They put him in a room with a bed. I was seen in this hospital on July 24th and July 25th 2014 for Shingles. The second day I was seen the pain was unbearable and the DR. increased my medications which was highly appreciated and although the meds are helping my blood pressure during treatment was 203/122 and nothing was done other than "seek medical attention". I was like ummmm I am in a HOSPITAL... treat it. No script for hypertension was given what so ever. I was just instructed that I am at high risk for a stroke with a B/P that high.

Had knee surgery at Grandview twice. Both times I was there 3-4 days. The rooms are not kept clean on a daily basis and sheets on your bed are not changed unless you ask. Shower was so stained and nasty I would not take a shower in it. Nurses were pretty good but stay away from Corinne!! Corinne will literally hurt you.

I have been to this place many times and never had any problems until last night. I had severe swelling in both legs and extreme pain. Was in the patient room 5 mins then sent home. The Dr came in and told me that Emergency rooms are for emergencies only like broken bones...etc...and what did I expect him to do for me? Well, I am home...still severely swollen..and crying all night from the severe pain. Never felt so neglected in my entire life!!!
