In the late 1800's, a company named Holden Milling & Elevator opened in Holden, Missouri. They purchased wheat, and milled it into flour. In 1955, a member of the Heiman family purchased the elevator business. Since 1975, Jerome and Sue Heiman have continued the family-owned business. They expanded from just milling flour to making bagged livestock feed and custom livestock feed mixes.
