I was referred to Dr Payan by my Cardiologist. As a healthcare worker I had my doubts. I must say the experience was absolutely amazing starting when the receptionists greeted me with a welcoming smile. The wait was a little long but well worth it. Doctor spent a great deal of time explaining my results and answering all my questions clearly. I highly recommend Dr Payan very caring and compassionate. The fact that there are multiple locations in El Paso and/or Las Cruces is a big plus and convenient!
Some time ago I had the occasion to request and was given copies of my Radiology results of CT scans conducted over a period of well over 18-24 months for lung polyps. What was of great concern to me was that almost at the top of these reports was noted that I had an aortic thoracic aneurysm. Dr Payan failed to bring this fact to my attention, after multiple radilogy results, as any competent doctor should have. DR. PAYAN WAS MY PULMONARY DOCTOR FOR QUITE A FEW YEARS. A NUMBER OF CT SCANS WERE PERFORMED IN HIS OFFICE. HE FAILED FOR APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS TO RELATE TO ME THAT I HAD A THORACIC AORTA ANYEURISM, WHICH WAS DESCRIBED AS CLEAR AS DAY ON THE RADIOLOGY REPORT. THIS SERIOUS CONDITION SHOULD HAVE BEEN RELATED TO ME AS SOMETHING I SHOULD SEEK THE HELP OF A CARDIOLOGIST. Dr Payan was very professional. He recommended treatment and took the the time to explain why the treatment he recommended. I am still in the midst of treatment, but was happy with the overall visit. Staff was professional and courteous.
This wonderful man saw me through a cancer diagnosis and treatment. He is very knowledgeable and especially kind and compassionate. His recommendation of a surgeon was amazing. I always felt safe in his care.
Our first time visiting the clinic..was not very impressed with the front desk receptionists..no personality..no smiles or welcoming atmosphere..tried to make conversation with Cecilia to provoke a smile.. with no luck..super dry and un-caring...HOWEVER,.. once inside and meeting with Dr. PAYAN.. all changed.. He is professional with a caring personality..and patient.. listens to all your concerns. HE IS WONDERFUL!.. recommend him highly.. but office personnel needs to be replaced..
Excellent experience. Dr Payan listened to my concerns, and asked pertinent questions. He did not discard my thoughts or my assumptions, but took them in and added his own. If someone wants a caring Doctor that will give one an honest assessment and not what one want to hear, this is the Doctor that should be seen.
