I’ve been going to Dr Cushing for the last handful of years after moving to Glen Ellyn. A good gynecologist is hard to find and with some of my medical issues I really needed someone who I trusted. Dr Cushing has been the most supportive and knowledgeable gynecologist I’ve worked with since my old gynecologist retired over 15 years ago. TL;DR: If you have any anxiety about GYN exams or just need warmth and compassion from your providers this is not the place for you. I'm sure Dr. Cushing is nice, however I never got to see her. my experience getting my Annual Exam was abysmal. First, the office staff was gossiping in earshot of Pt's in the waiting room; I was also able to hear an insurance review of another Pt occurring . Our family doctor recommended Dr Cushing, I trust my family Doctor. Dr Cushing is probably amazing but their team is terrible, rude, combative and a nightmare of rude people. If initial interaction is any indication of future service I suggest finding another doctor; I would be shocked if Dr Cushing had any idea that her admin team was so vile in their patient interactions. Dr. Cushing’s passion for women’s health is nothing like I have ever experienced. I came to her at a low point in my life and she listened with compassion, educated me on something she believed could help and then followed up with me to ensure that it did. I have recommended her to many of my friends and will continue to do so. I’m thankful to know her and be in her care.
I will never return, and I will never recommend Dr. Cushing to anyone. I found her curt, detached, and preoccupied. Moreover, I had a concerned family member who asked a few clarifying questions on the diagnosis. She was extremely bothered by this and dismissed these very valid questions - rushing to get out the door after a mere few minutes with us.
