I initially made appointment and found out not under my insurance plan. The nurse called and said they were in the process, so I rescheduled. I was referred by my doctor as I was having pain in my legs. They proceeded to test me for blood clots, even though I had already had testing at Nebraska Health imaging and was found to not have any. After the bruising to my legs and thighs because of this procedure, I was told they felt my blood pressure on my ankles was high, so they did another test. Charged me first. I read Mindy's (DAVID BARBER) post with some anger. I am a former and now current patient of Dr. Whittle. I am also a terminal degree medical professional. A hit job on a fine doctor is not called for. Dr. Torpy is in direct competition with Dr. Whittle and has resorted to hit jobs before. Every patient who has gone to Torpy from Whittle is told the same thing about Dr. Whittle. Do not accuse a Dr. of fraud and conspiracy unless you have the facts and the evidence. The staff here was so nice and professional. They made you feel like you were important, not just another patient to them.

I went to Heartland Vein & Vascular in 2015. They diagnosed me with May-Thurner Syndrome. This procedure should be treated as a big deal and unfortunately at their institute they tried to make you believe it wasn’t. After doing my research I learned that I needed to get a second opinion before even considering doing something like this to my body b/c I am only 33 years old. I went to Totally Vein and saw Dr. Stephen Torpy. He ran a vein ultrasound on my legs just like Heartland did and actually was even more thorough. After ... read more
