I know of a lady who was trying to go through the heartland credit union as her lender to purchase a home. It is quite apparent that this lender does Not understand that a potential home buyer can NOT upgrade the property until the buyer acquires the legal ownership after closing to make any repairs or updates. It is not legal to engage in any alterations to property that still belongs to the seller. This credit union needs to get re-education in property rights and laws before attempting to become mortgage lenders!!!
