One of my favorite locations
Great shady spot to park for a road bike ride on the almost traffic free Boone County roads. My buddy and teammate Harold Lundgren was hit while riding westbound on E 57 about 2 miles west of here in July 1992. He lingered in a coma at Iowa Methodist for about 3 weeks and died on 8 5 1992. RIP Harold, love ya bud.
