In October 2022, my 1.5-year-old toy poodle–shih tzu mix nearly lost his life due to negligence and misdiagnosis at Heartland Animal Hospital in Listowel. That morning, my dog had vomited and his stool was bloody, clear signs that something serious was wrong. I called Heartland immediately and got an appointment that same day. During the visit, the vet performed a rectal exam and the glove came out covered in blood. The staff here are amazing. They make you feel so welcome and are loving to your pets. They don’t force you to do any treatments that aren’t necessary either
