One star because the stoves are beautiful and when they work, they are great but we have not had heat in the lower level of our house all winter. Hearthstone parts and service is completely unresponsive to our local dealer (since first week of Nov) and to the email I sent to them. We liked this propane stove so much we later bought a woodstove from Hearthstone as well, but I would never, ever recommend them to anyone again.
Moved up to Vermont with my girlfriend over 3 years ago. Her parents had a Hearthstone Homesteader wood stove. We brought it up here with us and are in the process of building a cabin that her parents can stay in using the wood stove. The back has a crack in it and is under lifetime warranty. The store that sold it no longer deals with Hearthstone. They wanted to ship the part to a store in Massachusetts near the previous one which does not do repairs. If there was a zero star I'd give it. It took me almost a month to get ahold of anyone from heartstone. Not to mention they have been incredibly difficult to get ahold of since. The EPA 2020 GM 60 functions like an outdoor campfire. It sucks. Please consider buying somewhere else!!! It has been months and I am being told to build a better fire despite the fact I have been running wood stoves for 20 years.

I’ve had this Manchester drive for 8 years now and it easily heats the whole house- a family place that we share for skiing and sometimes rent on Airbnb. The ease of use makes it a favorite for our guests. I find it easier to light than most wood stoves and with regular maintenance, like replacing the door gaskets every three years or so, it continues to function like new despite frequent use by guests.
