Is this place still open? Thought the owners retired a few years ago. Had to get my money back as the guy who came out measured wrong and fireplace did not fit. He was retiring within the month so had to say forget it.

I stopped by Hearth and Home to see what I could do with my current fireplace. The staff seemed to know what they were talking about, and knew what I was getting at. I ended up going with a gas fireplace insert. The price was well inside the range I was aiming for. There was a little delay in having the insert installed, but it was worth the wait. We have never enjoyed our fireplace more. I will certainly be returning to the store to upgrade my grill this spring!

I had a fireplace installed 2 years ago by Hearth & Home. Recently I called them to service the unit because it wasn t working. I had the service guy come out and said he would have to order a part. That s been 3 weeks with no reply. I have called several times a day to get a status only to get a voice message. When I actually was able to get person on the line I was told they would look into it and get back to me. To date another week later, still waiting!
Scheduled an appointment well in advance only to have it cancelled prior to the day. Then no call back to confirm new appt. Read a similar review online but figured to give a local shop a chance but should have listened would have saved me some grief.

So far so good. Just stopped in to inquire about a stove today and Warren and sandy seemed very knowledgeable and friendly, but not pushy at all. Wil update as project progresses.
