My mother was in hospital due to a reaction from chemo tablets. Her heart went into atrial fibrillation and she was taken to the cardiology ward. Unfortunately Professor Weerasooriya was assigned to her. Prof Weerasooriya came in to tell us my mother needed a pacemaker. We queried it as her heart had been checked before the chemo and was perfect. Dr Rukshen Weerasooriya performed an ablation on me nearly 2 years ago now. Put simply it has changed my life. Not only was the surgery a major success ( I haven't had an AF episode since) but he was the most understanding, informative and professional specialist I have ever encountered. Professor Rukshen was absolutely amazing and has completely fixed my AF. Marlies, on reception has been fantastic as well. Extremely helpful and always has a great attitude. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Highly recommend these guys.
