I cannot say enough wonderful things about Heart of Vermont and Dr. Erika Bruner. From my initial contact through the final goodbye, every part of the process was handled with extraordinary compassion, patience and respect. Our beloved cat, Tippy, had advanced kidney disease, and after nearly 16 years together, we made the incredibly painful decision to help her pass peacefully at home. Dr. Bruner came to our home for our beloved 16 year old dog's last vet visit. She was amazing. And made a terrible day much less stressful. She clearly informed us on every aspect and what to expect and allowed us to make decisions based on the information. She took care of us and our sweet pup. It takes a special type of person to go into veterinary medicine and euthanasia services. We were so luck to have he by our side.
I can not Express how wonderful Erika was with home euthanasia. Everything was explained to the detail. Very soft spoken as she spoke. It was peaceful for us and our fur baby. I would recommend heart of Vermont vet to anyone in need.❤🐾❤
Dr. Bruner was incredibly thoughtful and compassionate with my elderly dog, Finn, (and with our whole family) when he needed end-of-life care. She explained the entire euthanasia process to us and what was happening every step of the way. It was a last minute call and Dr. Bruner made the extra effort to come to our home on a weekend. Making sure Finn did not suffer overnight is something for which I will forever be grateful. I'm not sure there will ever be the right depth of words or color to describe the gratitude for Dr. Erika Bruner and what she did for us on extremely short notice. She was kind, thorough, patient, and walked us through one of the most difficult journeys with thought and care. She'd even followed up afterwards with a sincere card.
