Erika gave us such comfort in a difficult time. Her presence is very calming. She treated our senior kitty like she had known her for years. She was gentle and very thorough in explaining what would be happening. This very much eased our minds! Having her come to the house and our kitty being relaxed and in her own bed made things a bit easier. Erika let us share stories with her and laughed along with the antics we were describing! For our pet's end of life, it was as perfect as it can be. It's very clear that Erika not onl... read more
It was such a comfort during a difficult time to have the opportunity to work with Dr. Erika Bruner and Heart of Vermont Vet. She provides such a thoughtful and necessary service for pet owners, and she does it with expertise, care and understanding. We were able to say goodbye to our aging and ill family dog on our own terms in her favorite spot in the backyard, which brought us great peace at such a sad time. Erika was there for us and for our pup in just the right ways, and she and her team were also so efficient and resp... read more
Erika helped us immensely through one of the hardest times of our lives. I am forever grateful to her and am so glad we decided to say goodbye to our beloved feline at home surrounded by our other companion animals. Erika was also very helpful to us during an end of life consult prior to the end of life visit. I do not like the conditions I met Erika in, but I am so happy to have met her and received her guidance, wisdom, and empathy during such a devasting time. I also want to note that Erika's staff are phenomenal as well.... read more
Erika was incredible. She helped me and my Sammy girl through a difficult time. Sammy was able to go peacefully without pain or fear. And I had time to grieve with her in our home. I cannot say enough how she made this difficult time, so comforting.
This past June/July my beloved cat, Willa Bean, had a fast decline due to assumed cancer. I was so so anxious and scared and frantically looking for other, more comfortable, end-of-life care options than a clinical vet practice setting. I had reached out to Heart of Vermont, who quickly and kindly answered my (many) questions. Dr. Bruner was available on such short notice when we had to go through with our euthanasia plans. When it was time Dr. Bruner gave me so much space and patience, I truly could not thank her enough. He... read more
