First visit a while ago but for nothing. Appointment was at 840am and at 11am I inquired if the appointment was still on. Apparently the doc wasnt around so I wanted that long and just a waste of time when I could have been at work. Frontdesk should know if a doctor's available or not as this was preventable. Whether it is the flaw in the system or staff doesn't matter at this stage; if you expect us to follow your appointment schedule which took months, at least give us the courtesy with communication. I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience at the Alfred Hospital, Level 3, Philip Block (Cardiology Department). I had a 9:20 AM appointment and arrived on time. Upon checking in, I was informed that my doctor had an emergency patient to attend to and might not be able to see me. As someone who works in a medical office, I completely understood and was patient. A few minutes later, I was told that I would be seen by a doctor, but the wait time was uncertain.
